Cotton Bag Co have made the World’s Largest Jute Bag!

On Wednesday 3rd July we attempted the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Jute Bag, displaying a bag that measures at 14.6m high by 22.5m wide. The record to beat was 10.99m high by 8.5m wide, so it’s safe to say that we well and truly pulled it out of the bag!

The record has been attempted as part of International Plastic Bag Free Day, which has also coincided with Plastic Free July, so as manufacturers of eco bags, we are extremely proud to have taken on this challenge with the help of the children at Fitzmaurice primary in Bradford-on-Avon and Varn.

After hours of painting, assembling truss, and eagerly awaiting the lift executed by Sparrow Crane Hire, the bag was measured before being hoisted up for all to see!

It was a really fantastic day and the children had a great time drawing various underwater creatures on the world’s largest jute bag throughout the day. Find out more about the world record attempt here:
